Our customer supports major clients in the healthcare sector across the UK with fuel and energy management services. Having established an excellent working relationship, we partnered once again to deliver a major fuel infrastructure upgrade for a major hospital site in North West England.
Fuelling on-site back up generation for the hospital, high-volume fuel storage is essential to ensure the continuity of healthcare services, equipment and facilities around the clock. CTSL’s tank fabrication division, CHF, was commissioned to design and manufacture 2 bespoke, 50,000L bunded fuel storage tanks for the site, increasing storage capacity for complete operational reassurance.

Increased fuel storage capacity designed by CHF
Our in-house CHF tank design team worked with our client to understand the demands of the site, including the physical space available and the back up generation fuel capacity needed to provide sufficient continuity for the hospital.
A bespoke tank was designed in CAD, producing 3D modelling which enabled the client to create a fully-bespoke storage system. Tank design considered logistical measures such as transportation and installation, producing a practical design which could then be fully fabricated, and replicated for both tanks, by our in-house engineers.
50,000L tanks provide exceptional capacity. With the space needed to fully engineer both tanks under one roof, our fabrication workshop facilities enabled CHF to continually quality assure and monitor the progress of each tank’s build and finish, meeting our client’s installation programme schedule on time. With a supervised installation by CHF, the North West hospital end user now benefits from increased back up to support its important work.
