Fuel storage, management & spill response for emergency services

Protecting fuel resources for emergency services in the UK

Security of fuel supply is essential to keep the UK’s emergency services on the road. With fast vehicle response an integral part of everyday work, sites maintain consistent fuel stocks to provide adequate contingency during fluctuations in market conditions.

By protecting fuel resources using secure bunded tanks by CHF, CTSL’s tank fabrication division based in Leyland, Lancashire, together with high-delivery pumps, robust reels and alarm systems to the client’s specification, bespoke-designed fuel storage and management systems for emergency services depots are essential to these critical operations.

Complete fuel storage, management & distribution for emergency services

Bespoke tanks by CHF are designed and modelled from the ground up using our 3D CAD technology, creating fuel storage and management systems unique to each emergency services depot, demands and site requirements.

Tank fabrication is quality-assured throughout by our team, which benefits from many years of experience in fuel storage. Understanding the specific needs of emergency services sites, CHF fuel tanks offer excellent capacity delivered by high-volume pumps to keep vehicles on the road.

Tank designs may include debowser units to retrieve unused fuel, remote telemetry and controls, security and alarm systems to maintain adequate fuel stocks whilst preventing misuse, theft or unauthorised access, and dual pumps to a tank to enable simultaneous refuelling for multiple vehicles.

Tanks are manufactured in house before being shipped and installed at your emergency services site, together with associated bunded pipework and controls as specified. Following commission, CHF continues to care for and maintain tanks, meeting OFTEC annual inspection requirements to keep sites safe, compliant and fully operational.
