CTSL Spill Specialists South East England team has recently completed remediation of a domestic kerosene oil spill at a property in Surrey.

The spill had contaminated the garden of the property, requiring removal of all contaminated soils and other materials, replacement and reinstatement of the garden.
As with every project, our team was sensitive to the needs of the homeowner and communicated with her throughout as to the actions to be taken in order to return her property safely and clear of any spill contaminants. One particular tree in the garden which was the subject of contamination from the spill was of great sentimental value to our homeowner, and she was understandably reluctant to permit its removal.
Following consultation with the homeowner, and accessing additional resources, ‘air spade’ technology was used to clean up the contamination around the tree, enabling us to leave it in situ whilst still remediating the site to an excellent standard.
