Clean-up of internal kerosene spill, removal of structures & remediation for policyholder in Scotland

CTSL Spill Specialists was appointed by our loss adjuster client following the policyholder’s report of an oil leak in their home, located in central Scotland. Our regional depot in Bathgate carried out an initial site investigation and discovered a kerosene spill from an oil supply pipe which ran under the bathroom floor to an oil-fired range cooker in the adjacent kitchen. The oil spill under the bathroom floor resulted in strong kerosene odours both in the bathroom and migrating throughout the property.

Delivering ‘like-for-like’ reinstatement following spill clean-up and remediation required strong communication between our team, the policyholder and their insurer, and CTSL Spill Specialists’ combined remediation and buildings skills which resulted in a professional finish of this home to the homeowner’s desired style and standard.
