CTSL has fitted a belly fuel tank to a trailer-mounted generator, adding valuable capacity that enables the unit to run for longer.

Our generator hire client, based in Cheshire, approached CTSL looking to increase the capacity of one of its trailer-mounted power generators. The generator's original 50L tank, built into the unit, was preventing the unit being used for longer periods which prohibited certain sectors from hiring the equipment.
CTSL designed and fabricated a bespoke belly tank which could be accommodated on the trailer unit, fitting neatly underneath the generator and adding a further 300L to the generator's capacity. With a fantastic total capacity of 350L, the generator is now highly marketable as a compact, portable and accessible unit which can be used for much longer.
Our bespoke belly tank is fully bunded to deliver a professional and safe fuel capacity solution for our client. CTSL's quality-assured tanks are designed on a bespoke basis to ensure a perfect match, and every bunded tank meets BS799, or other safety standards as stipulated by clients.
With no modifications made to the existing generator unit, our client's warranty wasn't affected, giving them great reassurance that the unit is protected and equipped with practical features which appeal to their market.
This project was a little different, featuring a much more portable unit than some of our 'supersize' tanks fabricated for back-up generation! Other than where demanded by a client specification, the majority of our tank products are integrally bunded and double-skinned, which avoids the need for secondary layers of protection - particularly important for a portable unit such as this.
