The CTSL management team combines a wealth of experience from a number of technical disciplines related to oil storage and remediation. This team strives to provide a quick and appropriate response, combined with practical solutions and keen attention to detail.

The Key Members of the technical management team are:

Ian Hodge

Managing Director

Ian is the son of the founders of Ribble Fuel Oils, Hermon and Andrea Hodge. Ian joined Ribble Fuel Oils in 1988 and therefore, has many years of hands-on experience in fuel delivery and storage solutions.


Colin Reader

Colin Reader

Geotechnical Services Manager

Colin is a Geo-environmental Engineer with over twenty five years’ experience in project management of contaminated land and geotechnical projects. During his career Colin has been involved in the UK and Europe in the design, management and supervision of contaminated land and geotechnical projects.

Process Engineer

With over seven years’ experience with a large international remediation company, Allan specialises in the design, construction and operation of ground and groundwater remediation systems.

Fabrication Manager

Phil has been involved in metal working and fabrication since 1991. Commissions undertaken include maintenance of agricultural machinery and earthworks plant, fabrication of doors and gates, machine maintenance, building fabrication and erection and the fabrication of fuel tanks.

Commercial Manager

From craftsman-level training in Carpentry and Joinery, pre 1981, Andy trained in Higher National Certificate (Quantity Surveying) and then Chartered Institute Of Building (Member Status) at Liverpool Polytechnic in 1987.


Mel Wallace

Yorkshire Regional Manager

Mel’s first steps into the remediation industry started with an apprenticeship, working for Sheffield City Council’s recreational department. After ten years with the Council, Mel had an opportunity to work in the remediation industry.
